Free Online No Sign Up is committed to making its tools and content accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability, technology, or context. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and continuously work to improve the experience for all users.
This page describes the accessibility features available on the site, our current conformance status, and how to contact us if you encounter a barrier.
Accessibility tool
The site includes a built-in accessibility tool that lets you adjust the reading and visual experience without changing your system or browser settings. Open it using the accessibility button in the header. Your preferences are saved locally and persist across sessions.
The following options are available:
Larger text
Increases the base font size across the site for easier reading, without affecting your browser's global text size setting.
Higher contrast
Increases the contrast ratio of text and UI elements, making content easier to distinguish for users with low vision or light sensitivity.
Reduce motion
Disables or minimises animations and transitions across the site. Useful for users with vestibular disorders or those who find motion distracting.
Underline links
Adds underlines to all links on the page, making them easier to identify without relying on colour alone.
The site also respects your operating system's prefers-reduced-motion and prefers-color-scheme settings automatically.
Conformance status
Free Online No Sign Up aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. The site is partially conformant, meaning some content does not yet fully meet all criteria. We are actively working to address known gaps.
Key measures taken to support accessibility include:
- Semantic HTML structure with appropriate heading hierarchy
- ARIA labels and roles on interactive components
- Keyboard navigability for all interactive elements
- Sufficient colour contrast in both light and dark modes
- Focus indicators on all focusable elements
- No content that flashes more than three times per second
- Text that can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- All non-text content has a text alternative
Supported technologies
The site is designed to work with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Browser zoom up to 400%
- High contrast display modes
- Voice control software (e.g. Dragon NaturallySpeaking)
The site relies on the following technologies for conformance: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas of the site may not yet fully meet accessibility standards:
- Some complex tool interfaces may not have fully optimised screen reader announcements for dynamic content updates.
- Third-party content or embedded resources may not meet the same accessibility standards as the rest of the site.
We are aware of these limitations and working to resolve them. If you encounter a specific barrier not listed here, please let us know.
